I went to Ochi's Lounge to hear Bob Powers read from his new book You Are a Miserable Excuse for a Super Hero @ Liam McEneaney's "Writings with Music" show. It was a great reading and funny show, but lordy the book. It's part one in the "Just Make a Choice!" book series. Bob let me skim through the galley which lived up to my to my nerdy needs of tough choices, graphic illustrations and the bitter prose that rings too true to this now 30-something who used to love "Choose Your Own Adventure", and, in fact, still has one or two of her old originals.
