The Past Rears its Ugly Hair

So I just hung up from a phone interview with the Ft. Worth Star Telegram. I don't want to count chickens before they hatch, but it seems our Tex in the City story might be featured in an article in the coming weeks. Yippie Kai Yay! I have no idea if that's how to spell "yippie kai yay" or why that's even a phrase in my vocabulary. The reporter is a true gem and was able to make me admit what an 80s chick I was with the big hair and such. She might use photos from our yearbook. Eeek! Ms. Reporter, please see my August 18th and October 5th entries and have pity on a young entrepreneur.

Country v. Rock n' Roll Re-cap

I am pleased to report that Country vs. Rock n' Roll was a smashing success. I am so incredibly proud of my partners and the performers alike. Come to the after party tonight at Serena from 6:00 - 9:00 and meet this awesome cast!

Guess what I'm gonna do after all this is over? SLEEP!

Extra! Extra! Read All About It!

So, did any of you happen to read the NY Post today? Um, yeah, well, uh we're in it. Check out Liz Smith's column on page 18 or PageSix.com. My dreams of becoming Ms. Smith's protege' are in motion. So, Liz--can I call you Liz?--if you're reading this, my references are available upon request. If you prefer, we can always meet for lunch at Le Cirque...my treat, of course.

Obviously this producing an Off Broadway show business is a little time consuming. My apologies for the lack of entries. As an update, Debbie Does Dallas entered into a cross promotion agreement with Tex in the City. So, for all those theater goers seeing a show about sexy Dallas Cowboy cheerleaders this weekend, they will walk away with one of our cabaret postcards. That is so cool!

Yesterday's tech rehearsal went really well and I'm extremely proud of Kevin & Scott as performers. I'm also proud of the budget work Greg did and his new found skills of web design. I'm proud of myself for the 15 hours of work I did on Friday designing the program and creating it on my computer and then the 5 hours yesterday that Scott and I spent editing and adjusting the layout to match his more updated computer. We spent another 2 hours printing and collating and today Greg and I will fold and staple. I won't bore you with all the other tasks we've accomplished. All this self-aggrandizing is embarrassing.

I will say to those of you who can't make the show--you're missing out!
