Hodge Podge
Spiderman 3 premieres tonight in Astoria at our local movie theater just a block from our apartment. Such excitement for the street usually deserted during weekday mornings. Paquita couldn't stand all the loud clanging of the metal barricades being unloaded. She was so scared, I had to carry her for most of the way home from the deli. It's her only walk of the day so I always feel bad for her when she doesn't have a good one. If only she knew she took a dump right where a red carpet will lie.
Tomorrow at Comix we're producing the very first ever online interactive talk show held in front of a live studio audience. Very cool. Fran Drescher is our first guest and we're psyched. Come on out if you're so inclined to participate.
Here are a few photos from the Onion event posted on Flickr. Not bad for a regular camera. Our professional shots probably won't get posted on there. Not out of exclusivity...just who has the time?! Guess it's time for an additional assistant.

AMAZING SHOW! ABOUT 200 PEOPLE AND TONS OF MONEY RAISED!
Pics to come but here's a sneak peak of the husband doing his charitable duty for the Epilepsy Foundation last night at the Onion & Comix fundraiser. Gawker linked it, too!
Up next, a benefit for the Humane Society with Patrick McMullan photog and some big old celebs on June 4th. Can't wait that long? Then Tuesday, come on out to Comix chat with Fran Drescher on the very first ever live / internet talk show.
--Kambri Too tired to post much else.
Tonight, Tonight, Tonight!
AM NY ran nice photo of Bill Burr for tonight's benefit at Comix. He was on "Comedy by Request" yesterday on Sirius which will also broadcast the show in its entirety some time in the near future. Gothamist, What's Up NYC, Uncool Kids, Punchline Magazine have all kindly plugged it and so many other places have it listed. Yay!
Ugh.
I have a call time of 6:20 AM with Bruce Bruce at the CW11 kicking off our ALL DAY press tour*. I really should be in bed right now. Ah, but I'll be home by 2:00 and can nap before enjoying the weekend with Christian. We have lots to think about after his eventful trip and his Comedy Central tour is winding up so we have that to deal with. Somebody's getting a KIA! Did you see Craig Ferguson on Letterman Tuesday night? He had a great weekend at Comix and chatted *very* briefly about it. Nice. Then Paul Scheer was on Letterman last night talking about Human Giant. Woot! He was adorable and charming. Yay Paul! --Kambri Can't sleep. *In this order beginning at 7:45 AM, tune in to Egypt & Ashy on Power 105, Kiss FM, Hot 97, JV & Elvis on 92.3 Free FM and then Raw Dog Comedy on Sirius if you want to catch Bruce Bruce live on the radio.
